Research will be carried out in three phases, as detailed below. The research includes mixed methods which will ensure that the research questions are considered from multiple perspectives and in significant depth.
Phase 1: Survey and policy analysis
This stage of research comprised of a survey for farmers, employers and workers of all kinds in horticulture and ongoing policy analysis. The survey has now closed and a short briefing will be available soon.
Phase 2: In-person qualitative research
Phase two will involve in-depth interviews with farmers and workers. It will also involve ethnographic (observational) research. See the Phase 2 page for details.
Phase 3: Analysis and multi-stakeholder discussions
Phase three will be an interactive stage of research in which early findings will be shared with key stakeholders. See the Phase 3 page for details.
